When the pot is no longer just a container for plants, no longer just an outsider, but becomes a bridge between people and plants. The planter will be combined with a ruler-like object and people will be able to log the growth of the plant, just as parents leave marks on the wall for the growth of their children. It’s a neat thing that people are already very comfortable with. What seems like a strange combination on the surface can nevertheless transfer those childhood memories, experiences and even rituals between people and plants. One becomes familiar with this ritual: many parents mark their child’s height on the wall. As it grows, the mark becomes higher. When the child grows up, the mark becomes a significant record in his or her life. This is a well-known ritual that takes place in daily life.
